Natalie Tayte

Director /  Art therapist and Supervisor

As an art therapist, I aim to enable change and growth on a personal level through the use of art materials. By using creative means, I hope to provide a space that offers the opportunity to express stresses and distresses in a non-threatening manner. This gives the chance to understand the origins of a range of thoughts and behaviours, therefore processing the hurt associated with these experiences. I hold my level 1 in Children’s Accelerated Trauma Therapy (CATT) and am currently training in EMDR, which enables me to offer an effective approach to the treatment of PTSD, psychological trauma and other mental health issues in both young people and adults.

Throughout my career, I have worked with clients from a range of cultural and social backgrounds who have experienced a variety of issues. I aim to provide a safe, containing space for the client to feel secure and listened to; able to begin their personal journey of change. As well as providing art therapy and EMDR, I also offer supervision to a range of practitioners.

I predominantly work with those who have been affected by trauma and have found myself becoming increasingly interested in how trauma affects us as individuals and in our communities. To be a co-founder and director at The Village Orchard East CIC and to have the opportunity to offer a trauma responsive organisation is an enormous privilege.

Director /  Artist, Speaker, Family Mental health Activist

NUA Post Grad Fine Art Painter, Norwich. Using lived experience & creative practise to engage, question and positively impact how family mental health is approached across services and education.

When you survive something or you are struggling with something, knowing that you're not alone is incredibly powerful. Further into that idea, is my strong belief that we shine when we see one another shine. Survivors of anything or someone who struggles a similar struggle, when they take up space and become visible it ripples outwards and gives others something to see, to be hopeful & grateful for.

Office Manager

Hello, I’m Jo and I’m the office manager here at The Village Orchard East CIC.

I joined the team in October 2019 and have a variety of office duties but mainly, I’ll be helping our therapists with their booking requests and the general public with any queries they may have.

I’m Norwich born and bred, I have a lazy greyhound called Scout, my beverage of choice is tea, I practice yoga every day and my favourite thing to watch is wrestling.

You may see me at makers markets as JB Lovecraft, I make bright and colourful home decor and hanging decorations out of felt and I print tote bags & t-shirts with positive messages.

Being a part of the team here at The Village Orchard East CIC and providing an organised administrative foundation so that our therapists can effectively carry out their amazing work brings great satisfaction to me, please feel free to contact me at office@villageorchardeastcic.co.uk if I can be of any help to you.
